Christmas Outfit Ideas

Christmas is often a holiday that is spent with the closest of our family and friends. It is also a holiday in which many people feel they need to dress up, the question is though, how dressed up should you be and what should you wear? Well often times you are simply heading over to a family members home so floor length gowns and tuxedos are out, but put on a nice dress or some great slacks and killer heels and you will not only feel great but will wow even the harshest critic.

This season there are many dress styles that will make a killer impression. One of the most popular looks this season is a medium length silk dress with a medium scoop or box neck. This type of dress hugs closer to the body and looks good in black or any darker jeweled tone. Another look that has become popular and can be found with many designers is a medium length, halter, chiffon dress with a deeper v cut. His dress also looks great in any of the above colors. Many stores are also carrying more of a high necked look with a micro mini length that will make your legs look a mile long, beware well endowed women though, this constrained top can make your ladies look unified! Since it is winter after all long sleeved wrap dresses are also popular and look great in a variety of colors, patterns and fabrics.

You can also go for a sleek pant and top outfit that may be more comfortable then a dress. When shopping this look try to find a straight leg pant in black, grey or a dark khaki color. These colors look best with a variety of different tops and are something you can wear more than once. Next, you need to find a great top. For warmth you can always go with a slender sweater but for a dressier look, again look to silk. There are many cure silk tops in stores this season and often in the colors mentioned previously. When looking for a top like this look for subtle details that make the shirt pop. Details like a sleek bow or dainty ruffles around the neck line. There are also many cute tops that tie in the back that will make your waist look tiny.

Finally, to top off your look, hunt for some great accessories and shoes. This season chunky accessories are abound and finding the perfect one for your outfit will be easy. Look for bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces in fabulous colors and big bold, costume styles. For your shoes, look for a satin peep toe or a strappy metallic, either of these will be sure to add some pizzazz to your style.

The most important thing to remember though when looking for the perfect outfit is to make sure that the fit is good. Fabrics such as silk tend to be more restraining than cotton so trying the piece on is very important. Above all be confident though when flaunting your new outfit, often it isn’t the clothes that make you look great, but your attitude instead.

This is the first time I have a double review where by you can find a written review + more pics over at my blog: actar.wordpress.com Yay! Early Christmas for me! My Figma Santa hats have arrived with my latest purchases of Figma Ryoko and Yuki WV from Hobby Search. As some of you would know, they had a promotion and was scheduled to last from December 10th to 25th. With the overwhelming response, the campaign closed on the 11th, one day after the launch. Fortunately, I was able to grab mine! Really proud of that Lelouch scene in the middle. I couldn’t stop laughing…

Question by Angela M: Where can I find matching Christmas outfits for kids?
My sister has three children: a girl, age 5; a boy, age 3; and a baby girl who will be about 4 months old at Christmastime. We are looking for somewhere that we might be able to find matching outfits for the kids for a sibling Christmas portrait. Preferably the girls’ outfits would match, and the boy’s outfit would be coordinating somehow. We don’t have a lot of money to put into this, so if you know of anywhere fairly inexpensive where outfits like this could be found, please let me know. Thanks!

We have always done the cousins in matching pants and shirts like khaki pants and white button ups. You don’t have to all wear the same brand or exact same cut for the picture to look nice. Just go for a uniform look. What about red velvet dresses for the girl and the boys could be in blue pants, white shirt, and red tie.

The link below has options, but might be more than you want to spend. They specialize in matching family outfits.

Setting Up an Outdoor Christmas Theme

Once again the icy grip of winter is almost upon us, the nights are drawing in, autumn’s leaves cover the ground and for some of us the first winter snow has already settled on the earth. It’s not all doom and gloom though because with winter also comes the Holiday Season, a time of family, joy, sharing and of course indulging in delicious food and drink.

To help get in the mood for the upcoming festivities and to brighten up the dark cold nights you have probably considered making plans for decorating your home and garden. When decking out your garden for Christmas you want to create a stunning scene using striking outdoor Xmas decorations.

Setting up an outdoor Christmas theme can be a great way to capture the Xmas spirit; the nativity scene, Father Christmas and his Reindeer or a nature scene with various wintery animals are all fantastic ways to bring the magic of Christmas to your garden.

Fortunately there is a wide variety of different decorations for you to take advantage of; you could use inflatable outdoor Christmas figures, wire figures with lights or even animated decorations. Whatever style you decide upon it can be a good idea to test what decorations look best in different parts of the garden; you ideally want the decorations to be visible from the main windows that overlook the garden as well as from the street.

Furthermore, Xmas lights can also be a great addition when setting up an outdoor Christmas theme; use them to your advantage to highlight key parts of your display and add an extra touch of seasonal magic.

When decorating your garden with outdoor Christmas decorations the only limit is your imagination, for more fantastic ideas visit outdoorxmasdecorations.info and transform your garden into a winter wonderland!

Question by Santa Claus(e)-The pianist.: What kinds of Christmas tree themes do you see when you are shopping in the mall?
I LOVE Christmas shopping and I love seeing the beautiful Christmas trees that are on display when I am shopping,I still don’t know how to tell what theme a tree is by seeing how it is decorated. What kinds of themes do you see while you are shopping for Christmas gifts,do you ever see a Christmas tree that has the same kind of theme as your Christmas tree you have at home?

The tree at my house doesn’t really have a theme. I decorate it with ornaments that were made by my sister and I when we were younger, ornaments my great grandmother crocheted and ornaments that my family has collected over the years. Most of the trees that I see in stores don’t have themes, with the exception of the tree at Cracker Barrel. They usually decorate their trees with rustic decorations (i.e. black bears, wooden ornaments, etc.). I have never really thought to pay much attention to trees decorated in shops, but I will now. :)
