Design pub quiz with the help of picture quiz

When we are creating any pub quiz, we need to be very thoughtful about framing questions and answers for the contest. After knowing about the difficulty level, amount of quiz rounds and topics, we need to give certain guidelines for this kind of quiz contest.
Basic Format: In this kind of standard or basic format of the pub quiz, we can see different number of rounds present for the mass audience. In that case, we can see the presence of 4 or 5 handout rounds. In case of general knowledge quiz, we can see that the main focus of the quiz remains on different types of trivia questions. In this regards, we usually need to pick up at least 5 rounds to complete the one set. Then we can go for 2 or 3 sets of tens questions. Then the question arises what kind of handout we will look for. In that matter, the most common theme becomes picture quiz.

Apart from the picture quiz, we can also see the presence of tag-lines, small story boards, and anagrams in the market, which are becoming popular day-by-day.
Rounds Table Format: This kind of format is found to be one of the most comfortable ones and it is found to be present with handout rounds.

In the selection of this kind of quiz, we can see the prevalence of tag-lines, anagrams and handout rounds for the audience. These quizzes can simply be handed out or can be left on the table. This kind of quiz format is very much relaxing for the audiences. Moreover, it can be done free, with no prizes. This format is found to be very popular. And, it is perfect for the audience, even if we do not have the competent and skilled quiz master.

Story board Format: In case of this format, we can call it one of the oldest options available in the market. But, in case of pub quizzes, it is found to be newer. It might be as similar as quizzes during the school time. We all used to do it by filling the blanks, either from the multiple choices or our general knowledge.
Theme Format: It is almost like standard format of the pub quiz. But, in this case, we need to choose one particular theme like Christmas quiz or Halloween quiz.
When we choose Halloween quiz or Christmas quiz as the theme, we have to be quite knowledgeable about the history and background about that particular occasion.

I am Mike Nielsn having 8 years of experience for writing articles on different themes like on Laboratory Equipment, Home and Garden, Posters and Prints, Law and more. To know more about Picture quiz, Halloween quiz.

Question by guymmiller: What’s the best free software for Video editing?
I’m making a pub quiz which involves showing movie clips and asking questions about them. I have long clips which I firstly need to trim to 20-30 seconds each and then put onto one movie with a 10 second gap between them but that can run from just pressing play once. Does anyone know what the best free software is to do this?

Many thanks in advance

When New Apple TV Meets PowerPoint Presentation

As its description defined by Wikipedia, “Apple TV is a digital media receiver made and sold by Apple Inc. It is a small form factor network appliance designed to play digital content originating from the iTunes Store, Netflix, YouTube, Flickr, MobileMe or any Mac OS X or Windows computer running iTunes onto an enhanced-definition or high-definition widescreen television.”

As the second-generation Apple TV was unveiled together with new iPod nano, iPod touch, and iPod shuffle during the Apple press conference in September of 2010, the definition of Apple TV will be re-defined again.

Comparing with the original Apple TV, the new device has been redesigned to be about 80 percent smaller than the previous generation. The price of the new model is , less than half of the older price. In addition, it is newly equipped with a built-in power supply, but stays cool without a fan, so it’s a noise-proof device.

After downloading the Remote app free from the App Store, you can control Apple TV using your iPhone or iPod touch. After a short while, you can stream music, photos, and video all from your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with AirPlay.

On the other hand, video rendering capability on the new device has been cut down to 720p from 1080p, which may annoy quite a lot of long time users. Local and USB storage have been removed from the new device, and the whole process will work over cloud. Therefore, the new Apple TV will now require you to keep your computer or Wi-Fi turned on the whole time when you watch your movie on TV.

Just with the power cord plugged into the wall and Apple TV connected to your widescreen TV using an HDMI cable, HD movie and TV show rentals play over the Internet to your widescreen TV. You can also browse and play YouTube videos, watch your favorite HD podcasts, and listen to Internet radio through your home entertainment speakers. Apple TV even lets you access Flickr photos and MobileMe galleries.

What’s more, you can add some life to the party with a photo slideshow. Select an album, pick a slideshow theme, and finish it off with a soundtrack featuring music from your iTunes library.

You can also create a PowerPoint presentation on your PC first, select exquisite PowerPoint templates, insert background narration, music and pictures as necessary, add transitions and animations to the sides peculiar to PowerPoint. And then, you can convert the slideshow to video or burn it to DVD with some professional PowerPoint converters (for example, Moyea PPT to DVD Burner, which integrate PPT to Video, PPT to DVD and PPT to HD DVD applications in one set.) to share your happy times with your family and friends.

Photo Christmas Card Ideas For Couples – 7 Suggestions For Holiday Picture Cards For The Two Of You

This holiday season, you’ll receive lots of picture greetings featuring your friends’ adorable kids. But even if it’s just the two of you, you can still join the fun. Here are seven ideas customized for couples for this year’s photo Christmas cards.

1. Recap the important events of the year.  Instead of writing a lengthy newsletter, remember that a picture is worth a thousand words.  Don’t tell your friends and relatives what’s new, show them.

Have you recently moved?  Take a picture of the two of you in front of your new house.  Did you take a vacation to some exotic locale?  Share the memories of your trip with snapshots.  Did you get a new pet? Introduce your fur baby in photo form.  Your engagement, wedding, anniversary, new job, pregnancy and even a new hobby can be the focal point of your holiday greeting.

2. Reveal your interests. If there were no significant changes during the past year, then consider using a picture that illustrates your favorite activities.  If you’re avid skiers, then use a snapshot of the two of you on the slopes.  If you’re known to be beach bums, have a friend take a photo of you building a sand snowman.  Whether your preferred pastime is barbecuing, bargain hunting at garage sales or playing with the dogs, work that into your holiday photograph.

3. Make a statement.  If you’re a couple that has something to say, you might consider blending that into your holiday greeting. Do you volunteer to help stray animals?  You could have your picture taken at the animal shelter with homeless cats and dogs and encourage others to remember those critters in need.  Are you passionate about your faith?  You can choose a religious design and add a Bible verse to your photo Christmas cards.

4. Use then and now photos.  For a unique holiday card, try adding a touch of nostalgia by including an old photograph or two.  If you’ve only been a couple for a short time, you could use baby pictures of the both of you.  For couples that have been together for much longer, you can choose one from when you first met.  Select a card format that features multiple photos.  Don’t forget to add the date the picture was taken as a caption on the older snapshot.

5. Feature pets.  Your dogs, cats or other furry friends are part of your family.  And adding your beloved animals to your holiday greeting creates a cute and appealing photo Christmas card.  If they have the right temperament, you can dress them with Santa hats or felt antlers made especially for pets.  Photograph them popping out of a gift box.  Pose them with ornaments. Take a picture of them in the middle of your holiday decorating mess with the caption “deck the halls”.

6. Include others.  It’s more than just the two of you that fills your world with meaning.  If you have a close family, you can incorporate the whole bunch into your holiday greeting. Choose a photo Christmas card design meant for multiple pictures. Showcase one photograph of both of you, and then add smaller snapshots of parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grown children, grandchildren, grandparents and even best friends. You can add a quote, like the one by Burton Hillis that says, “The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.”

7. Go for laughs.  Of course, you can send everyone a card that contains a lovely, ready to frame portrait of the two of you.  But when you create funny photo Christmas cards, you’ll get everyone talking.  How about a close-up as you both are about to take a bite out of a slice from your favorite pizzeria with the caption, “pizza on earth”?  Have someone take a snapshot of you carrying a stack of wrapped gifts next to your better half wearing a sweatshirt inscribed with “bah, humbug”.  Or take a trip to the mall and get an actual photo of yourselves with Santa.   Another idea is to take a picture with rolled up pant legs, walking in the surf and then add the wording, “no more wading for Christmas”.

Don’t miss out on the fun of sending photo Christmas cards this holiday season.  Use these ideas to inspire you to create a greeting that reflects your personality as a couple.  It will be the beginning of a great tradition.
