Ok, so best buy SOLD OUT of iPad 2′s as most people all ready know. Does anyone have any idea when Apple will send or ship more iPad 2′s. Specifically in Michigan maybe. Also, does anyone have any idea why so few iPad 2′s were sold or made?

Okay, there is no telling when they will have more. Shipments come and go to stores, the distribution of the product is solely based on availability so that is insider information or something only the store would know or warehouses would know.
Why did they make so little or sell so little?
Obviously they sold quite a few, the stores are sold out like you say. This means that the consumer has purchased the first run (which you don’t want anyways) of the product. So they sold a whole lot in your area I assure you.
How many were made in the first run by the company. I don’t believe that is current information but this also goes back to evenly distributing the product. That means that say they had 10% for the targeted population where it was expected that only 10% of that were going to buy (in lamens terms it means that you will sell to only certain people). So for the higher population places like New York they have bigger shipments because of denser populations than your store. However, that also leaves people in that area in the same situation you are in. Supply and demand is a wonderful tool. If you release a product very desirable in limited quantities you can sell the product at name-your-price prices and release again and again until you have met your quota and by far surpassed your expected margin of profits which will go towards screwing you with the iPad 3 and the marketing schemes. =)
